Stannic Nitrate, Sn(NO3)4

Stannic Nitrate, Sn(NO3)4, is said to be produced by the action of 70 per cent, nitric acid on tin, and to be stable in presence of the concentrated acid at 90° C. It dissolves in water, but is quickly hydrolysed with separation of hydrated stannic oxide.
